| Admissions Procedures 2011-2012

The Regent's School, Bangkok, welcomes applications for enrolment at all times during the school year. If you wish to visit the school to have a look around, you can do, Monday to Friday, between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. To make an appointment, please contact our Admissions Department by emailing enquiry@regents.ac.th or admissions-bkk@regents.ac.th. You may also call us at 02-957-5777 ext 222, 202 for Primary Campus or 02-690-3777 ext. 222, 202 for Secondary Campus. You will also be able to get a feel for the exciting nature of the school by exploring this website further. All candidates must make an appointment with the admissions staff at least 2 days prior to the apprearance. The result will be announced within 24-48 hours.

In most cases, the admissions procedure is as follows:

1. Early Years (Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception) will stay in appropriate class/ year level for approximately 1-2 hours as a trial day.

2. Primary (Y1-Y6) will spend one day with appropriate class/ year level from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm for assessment process. On this Trial Day, parents/ guardian will leave their children with us for the whole period of time as a normal school day.

3. Secondary candidates (Y7-Y9, Y10, Y12) will be tested in English, Mathematics, NVR Test and will also have an interview with usually the Head of Secondary. The whole process will take around 3-4 hours.

Prior to the Trial/Test date, Application Form, Health Information, Conduct Pledge (Y7+ only) and relevant documentations should be submitted to Admissions office as details below:

Student:
- Report from the current school

- 2 photos size 2 x 2 inch

- Copy of passport

- Copy of birth certificate (Thai)

- Copy of House Registration (Thai)

- 5,500 baht application fee (Pay by cheque, credit card, or transfer to the school bank account)

Parents:
- 2 photos size 1 x 1 inch

- Copy of passport (first page only)

- Copy of ID card (Thai)

Please note:

The school will always try to provide EU (English Unit) and EAL (English as an Additional Language) support for students whose first language is not English. Please bear in mind, however, that extra fees may be payable for this support. By making an application for enrolment, you are agreeing to the possibility of having to pay for EU and ESL support if the school’s assessment procedures dictate that it is necessary.
